I Wanna Be Debated

“I Wanna Be Debated” is Nick Alexander’s latest release.  It is another parody album featuring Catholic versions of popular songs such as the J. Geils Band’s “Centerfold” and the Police’s “King of Pain”.

I recently had the opportunity to listen to the CD.  As I have not heard the previous CDs, this was my first chance to hear Nick in action.

I enjoyed the CD.  It takes familiar, recognizable songs and uses them to present nuggets of the Catholic faith.  This exposes the listener to the faith and does it in a very memorable way.  I would expect that this CD will lead to further discussions on the faith.

This CD will make a great gift for someone with a sense of humor and an appreciation of their Catholic faith.  I intend to share it with my kids.

An Easter Carol

Veggie Tales - An Easter Carol

Here is another excellent video from the Veggie Tales folks.  The message is direct about the Christian meaning of Easter and will be a welcome addition to your video libray.  The songs and characters are unique as always and so much fun!

Holy Baby!

I recently watched this movie with my 3 year old daughter and wanted to share it with you as I think it is a great way to begin to share the Rosary with our children.

“Seven Prayers in Seven Languages” gives parents an opportunity to share with their children, the seven basic prayers of the rosary.  And does so in seven different languages!

The animated characters helped to capture my daughter’s attention while listening to the music and song kept her entertained through out the 30 minute video.  You can select the language to listen of the prayers or listen to all 7 languages at once.

It is $19.95 at most Catholic media stores.
